As I see it, 9/11 was the 21st Century "Pearl Harbor." In some respects, anyway.

My youngest, born on December 7th (and appropriately nick-named "Dragon Lady" because of her fearlessness and temperament), is proud to be a fighter in WWIII.

In WWII, my father was fleet navigator and a carrier pilot in the Pacific, where his ship was torpedoed and sunk by a Japanese sub. He survived after three hours in the water, and was grateful that all the depth charges had discouraged the sharks.

I think at least half of us who have posted so far here today have good reasons, both personal and philosophical, to remember the significance of Dec. 7.

The benefit to Japan at having "suffered" defeat at our hands was the introduction of capitalism, which led it from its position as an interesting but relatively minor player in the world affairs, to one of the world's major economies, with unprecedented prosperity for its people.

It's hard to avoid war when you're attacked. Germany declared war on the United States the day after Pearl Harbor and we responded with our own declarations of war on Germany and Japan.

I imagine the ultimate defeat of Nazi Germany was pretty traumatic for our remaining Jew-hating national socialists, but the left thrives on victimhood. Ducky's shrine to Hitler is a sight to behold.

Here we go again with the Duck blame game. Everyone is to blame for 9-11 except the sick religious nuts who acted in the name of what faith ?

Lets see Wicca , Scientology, Lubavitcher, Hare Krishas, Red Sox fans all were big culprits on 9-11.

Ducko you need to get a clue and don't lecture me about 9-11. Unlike you I was there and it wasn't my first time either.
